WORLD COPD DAY 2007


The Perak Chest Society will be celebrating World COPD Day 2007 on Saturday, 17th November in Hospital Fatimah at 2.00 pm. We shall be launching our Home Nebuliser Loan Programme. An elaborate programme has been planned for the day. Details are available at http://www.pcs.org.my/ . Please invite your friends with COPD to attend the function. The speakers are Dr. Koh Wai Keat (geriatrician), Dr. Leong Oon Keong (respirologist), M/s Daisy (physiotherapist).

  2. COPD stands for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In layman's terms it is "smoker's lungs" where sufferers present with cough, phlegm and shortness of breath. Nebulised medicine help relieve their symptoms.
