Christmas is near

Christmas has always been a time of great joy and happiness for the family.  I still have the old family tree purchased by my mother many years ago.  Recently, I transported the tree to 15 Clarke Street where more people will be abe to see and appreciate it.  Got some new decorations for the tree.  

Christmas is about Jesus Christ, the son of God, coming to earth to save His people.  I am saved by grace through faith in my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  All praises and thanks to Him. 

And some of the old decorations have brought back very fond memories.

Opelah

OPELAH featured excerpts from The Marriage of Figaro, Broadway musicals and Chinese art songs.  The lead singers were Mezzo Soprano Ms Marianne Poh and Soprano Ms Lee Yi Jing.  Mr Kok Kee Boon was the accompanist. The production was held at 15 Clarke Street on the 7 and 8th December.  The audience enjoyed the shows very much.

Consdering a Secretariat building for Lahat Road YMCA

Just had a Board Meeting today and decided not to buy the 3 storey Lahat Road shop house opposite the ACS school. The building is located at a prominent place but parking will be a problem.  Will be difficult to hold events there.  

The price at RM 370k is cheap, actually the cost of the land alone.  But the cost of renovation will be steep because it is rather dilapidated.  If we are to renovate it will cost a large sum of money.  Then who shall rent from us?  There are many shophouses in Ipoh which are vacant at this point in time.  The economy is not doing so well.

Grand Opening of Concubine Lane Theatre

Very good show with Ms Chan Ai Chia rendition of Teresa Teng's old favourites.

There were 2 shows.  Attended the show on Friday. Full House for both days.  The GH Dancers were also very creative in their dances.

This performance is going to be very interesting.  First time at 15 Clarke Street and by promising artistes. 

We're getting the stage ready with these mobile platforms which are on loan from Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra.

Your Phone app from Microsoft

Just got my Samsung Note 8 connected to my notebook using the Your Phone app from Microsoft.  Limited use.  Can only view recent photos (25 in number), phone text messages and phone notifications.

The mobile photos can be easily moved to my notebook.  Simply Copy and Paste.

Give it a try.

However I prefer new DeX feature available from Samsung Note 10.  A feature a just discovered from YouTube and from the Samsung website.  Wonder when I can afford a new Note 10!!

Termite prevention

Better get the termite treatment done at the start of any house renovation.  The pest control man is shown here pumping liquid chemicals into the ground surrounding the house.  He will be spraying chemicals onto the roof rafters and into the electrical wall sockets.

Goodbye termites ..... for the time being as the chemicals will wear off.  Guarantee period is 10 years.

Never tired of setting up a Christmas tree.

Christmas always brings back very fond memories of family and friends.  And I never forget Christ who makes it all possible.
