Hey, I was there in HH from 71 to 73. My name is Lim Yong Been or "Korea" since i was a korean. My younger brother also was a boarder - Kyong Been. We both played Hockey for ACS. I was grilled many times by Brian for smoking and other stuff...hehehe.

If there are any fellow HH boarders around Ipoh or in Malaysia, let me know, I will be visiting malaysia between 27th and 31st July 2007.

Know the whre abouts of Kenneth Lee or Benny Yee or their friends? Let me know at yblim@jupsys.com

Hello Yong Been,
I can roughly remember someone who fits your description in my class and is also known as "Korean". Are you born around 1956? Benny Yee sounds familiar too. But it has been such a long time. I left ACS in 1976 after Upper Six.

Remember Yong Been as a javelin thrower......during the form 4 & form 5 days.

Yong Been is now in HongKong and I spoke to him briefly today. He will be coming over to KL end of July.

Another beauty of internet.

  1. I 've been in Hong Kong for over 10 years now and can speak a little cantonese to be dangerous! Its amazing to be able to get connected to old classmates after such a long time! Looking forward to seeing many of the ACS classmates during my visit to KL and Ipoh....Peace! YongBeen aka YoungBeen (korean version)

  2. It is with sadness that I bring up this news on Kyong Been.

I read in Nasa site that he passed away 23 Sep 08. It was a shock to me. Yes, he was know to us as Korean just like his elder brother.

"Kyong B. Lim, age 48, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008. He had been a resident of Yorktown since 1986.

He was an employee of N.A.S.A. for the past 22 years, where he served as a Senior Research Engineer. His enjoyment of Golf led him to join the N.A.S.A. Golf Association. He was also a member of Northside Christian Church.

Surviving members of the family include his wife, Hyon 'Grace' Lim; sons, Kevin Lim and Alex Lim; mother, Keum S. Bae; brothers, Doug Lim and Young Lim; and sisters, Kyung Ahe Lim and Angeline Poe.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1 to 1:30 at Northside Christian Church. At 1:30, a service celebrating Kyong's life will be held in the church sanctuary with Minister Larry Jones presiding. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.

Friends are encouraged to visit www.mem.com to share fond memories and words of comfort with the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
