ACS MGS Alumni Dinner 2012

The ACS/MGS Joint Alumni Dinner was held on Saturday 4th August 2012 in the Grand Ballroom, Kinta Riverfront Hotel, Ipoh. There were 1100 people and started at 6.00 p.m. with Cocktail.  At 7.05 p.m. we sang the School Songs (ACS/MGS).  It was followed by "Amigos Para Siempre" led by Mr. Chin Yoong Kim and "The Impossible Dream" sung by Mr. Eddy Chin.  Entertainment by Trinity Entertainment and Strollers 2.

World Spirometry Day 2012

Leong Oon Keong Chest & Medical Clinic is celebrating World Spirometry Day on Saturday 11th August at 2.00 pm with a Public Forum on "Chronic Cough - When to Take Action" and free spirometry for the first 20 participants.  To register please call 05-2556302.

This is really something new on Sports Day.  Really very good.

ACS Sports Day 2012

ACS School sports day held on 22nd June 2012.  Guest of honour was Dato Dr. Balaravi (President PIBG SMK Methodist (ACS) Ipoh).

This is the Board of Student Librarians.  Now it is called Lembaga Pusat Sumber.  Many fond memories because I was the Head Librarian in 1975.

I used to represent ETS (Eu Tong Sen) House.

Tracing the trail of Dr. Sun Yat Sen in Ipoh

Ms. Chan Sue Meng is the grand niece of Mr. Lee Guan Swee who was a staunch supporter of Dr. Sun Yat Sen.  Mr. Lee was instrumental in gathering support in Perak for the Chinese Revolution of 1911.  I am eagerly waiting for the results of her research.

Snoring - Dangers and Myths

A well attended public forum on snoring held on 19th May 2012 at the Flag Hall, Leong Chest & Medical Clinic. A very attentive group of about 50 participants.  Talk delivered in English and Cantonese. Free lipid testing, body composition analysis, OSA screeening and counselling.  Sponsored by Leong Chest & Medical Clinic and Insan Bakti.

Loud snoring and excessive daytime sleepiness are symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea which is a disease not many are aware of.
