The Mango Season has begun

Fruiting season for the mango trees has begun.  Fertilized the trees with a balanced NPK mix of 10:10:10 earlier.  The amount of fertilizer use depends on the age and size of the trees.  The pellet fertilizer was spread out a foot away from the tree trunk till the drip line where the tree roots will be.

Getting the COVID vaccine and feeling safe.  No significant adverse reaction following the vaccination except for some soreness over the injection site.  Scheduled for the 2nd dose in 3 weeks.

Had gastroscope and colonoscope today as a day case.

Preparation for the procedure started on Friday.  Did the required blood tests and RTK COVID test in the early morning.

Did not take any solid food for the day till the time of scopes the next morning.  Bowel preparation started at 4 pm with Casen Phospho Soda oral solution mixed with a full glass of water.  Followed by 1 sachet of Fortrans in 1 litre of water to be drunk over 1 1/2 hours.  After the first, another sachet of Fortrans in another 1 litre of water was drunk.  The whole 2 litres were drank up by 8 pm.  Very soon after the 4 pm the "purge" began.  Was pretty happy with the results as the bowel lavage content was becoming much clearer denoting good large bowel clearance.

The up and down scopes were done by Dr Yeap with ease.  I was given an injection of Dormicum 3 mg before the procedure as a mild sedative.

Before the colonoscope one has to wear a trouser with a fair sized hole showing the peri-anal area.  One can continue to wear one's own shirt or T shirt.

I shall review the video recordings of the procedures tonight.

Gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures are pretty easily performed nowadays without much discomfort.

Predestination and Election

Summary of my thoughts yesterday during a Christian meeting.

Mankind was predestined to be with God before the Creation to have a deep relationship with Him, to praise and worship Him.

The Fall separated Him from mankind.  He chose the people of Israel to lead and to re-establish the relationship with Him, within the framework of certain Laws He pronounced. But the chosen people keep on breaking the laws of engagement.  Animal sacrifices were then required for the atonement of the people's sin which was not a perfect redemptive plan.

Jesus Christ the saviour of the world was the answer to God's redemptive plan, the ultimate sacrifice to be done once and for all humankind. The Gospel story of grace and mercy being told by believers In Christ, is the "I stand at the door and knock ...." . Anyone who welcomes, receives and follow Him are His elected and they become the children of God. The elected have the Holy Spirit indwelling in them to guide them to purity of heart and holiness in life.

Our current journey continues with a deeper understanding and relationship with God, on going sanctification until we meet Him face to face.

Added Text

Used Corel PaintShopPro to add text to this artwork.

This flower from my garden was captured with my mobile camera and turned into a digital watercolor painting.  Used the airbrush to blur the picture behind the text so that the yellow text will come out more prominently.

Will use this jpeg image to post to my Christian friends using WhatsApp.

Digital Art

Using Corel programmes to produce the above art in water colour style.  The images are rather astonishing.  Corel is using AI in their "painting" algorithm.

Will be personalising these pictures with special notes for my patients.  Hope to produce many more artwork with pictures taken from my garden.

Starting the Year 2021

An early start at 8 am 1/1/2021with my woodworking hobby.  Have been putting off several projects.  Today managed to saw several pieces of wood to strengthen my sofa seats at home.  The wood had been recycled from a partition which was taken down at 15 Clarke Street.

This wood working bench came from my father.  He too was a woodworking hobbyist.  He used to make toy boats and air planes.  I remember he used balsa wood for the model aircrafts.
