World Asthma Day 2013

This public forum on Saturday 4th May 2013 in KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital will see some 70 students, parents and teachers from SMK Methodist (ACS) and SMJK Ave Maria Convent coming. Members of the Perak Chest Society will be providing a preview of the Asthma Friendly School project to headmasters from several schools.

Be speaker and photographer

Today's public forum on Tuberculosis was well attended. Dr. Leong Oon Keong spoke on "Fighting TB". These pictures were taken when RN Leong was translating the talk into Cantonese. Well it is very true that in many of our non profit charitable NGO's we need to multitask, save cost and yet be of good service to the community. Thanks to everyone who helped out.

Nursing Homes vs Home Nursing

Home nursing allows a person to stay at home and yet be able to receive timely nursing care. Coming next will be home telemedicine. Private mobile nursing and physiotherapy services are now readily available in Ipoh and so are nursing homes. I spotted this van in KPJ ISH basement car park. Looks groovy.

The Falim House

When I travel to Menglembu from Ipoh along Lahat Road I always see this "Falim House". I finally had the opportunity to visit this house last Friday during the Tin City Project launch. It is a magnificent house which once belonged to the Foo family. I hope the new owners will preserve this mansion. Here are some pictures of the exterior. The interior is rather messy so no pictures at the moment.
